Orange You Glad?

Hi, everyone! How was your fourth of July weekend? We took off last Wednesday (mom and dog too) with our youngest son and daughter in law following us and drove to Nashville. We spent the night and had dinner with several friends. Then drove to Columbus, Ohio the next day to see our oldest son, daughter in law, and grandkids. We might be the worst parents ever because they have been building a house for over a year, and the first night they stayed in it, was the night we got there. Their home is in Powell on the Scioto River and is beautiful! We had such a fun weekend and the fourth of July!

Orange Print Dress

I love the color orange because it is such a happy color! Orange radiates warmth and is associated with joy and happiness. It also represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement. No wonder I love it! I ordered this orange print dress (unfortunately, it is no longer available) a while back because it was such a happy print (but love this print too!). I think anything that makes you happy at the moment is a good thing!

Even though I might not get to wear this dress much in the next couple of weeks in Dallas, I will hopefully be taking it to the beach (with a few others) in a few weeks, fingers crossed! I paired the faux leather jacket and flat sandals with the dress but think a denim jacket would be just as good with it. Orange is such a fun color to add to home interiors as well.

Orange you glad I mentioned it?

We were supposed to go to Montana with the whole family in a few weeks, but like things sometimes happen, that trip has been canceled. We have quickly found a house to rent in Rosemary Beach and think we will be heading there instead. I like the mountains, but I am so much happier at the beach. What about you all? Are you a mountain or beach person?

I am so happy that my mom made this trip with us. Even though it was such a long drive, it is the first time she has been anywhere outside of Dallas in probably ten years (since my dad’s Parkinson’s diagnosis). She is so much fun to have around, and the grandkids have used her as a built-in play buddy! We have to head back home and let them get back to getting their house and lives in order.
