RECONNECTING WITH A DENIM BRAND AT BLOOMINGDALES
Hi There! I hope you all had a great weekend! Remember what I said at the end of Friday’s post that I was too tired to get wild on Friday night? Well, I got into bed at 1:30! We ended up with our friends at a restaurant called, Alice ( Alice in Dallas!). We had been there several times before, but this time they had a DJ playing great dance music. Also, we danced in this small restaurant until after midnight. Staying out that late plus Daylight Savings has me all kinds of tired! I took a 2 1/2 hour nap yesterday! Today, however, I am so excited to be partnering up with Bloomingdales because I love the store and have reconnected with a denim brand and am thrilled that I have!
I’ve reconnected with Joe’s Jeans and love them!
I have always been a big Bloomingdales shopper. When I travel to New York, it’s one of the first places I hit because they have everything and I always find something I am looking for or need. Thank goodness their website is so easy to navigate, and I can still find most anything I am looking for without being in the store. I was looking for a pair of jeans that were a medium wash (not too dark and not too light). Also, I had not worn Joe’s Jeans for a long time (I don’t know why) but decided to order the jeans I am wearing to see how they fit. I couldn’t be happier with them!
They are the exact color wash I was looking for, but they also fit me like a glove (for reference, I am a 24). They have a high-rise waist and an ultra-slim fit that flatters curves. I’m going to order this pair to try next and have already ordered this lavender pair! I paired my jeans with a white tank and the cutest pinstriped blazer (ordered an xs) for spring. This blazer has a relaxed fit and a longline silhouette. It is so lightweight, perfect for spring and is an easy travel piece. The bonus is that it comes in right under $100!
I can’t wait to wear the blazer with white jeans and a light pink or lavender top. Unfortunately, the velvet bag is sold out, but it’s available in this color,(happens to be on sale) and this yellow leather bag is from the same designer. I think everyone needs a pair of white pumps for spring (really all year round) too!
I am such a pale girl and am heading out this morning to get a spray tan.
Guess what I get to do? I’m going on Spring Break with my grandkids tomorrow! I need a tan, and a bathing suit and I am ready to go! Also, I wanted to mention something that has been on my mind. I should say this more often, but ladies, please make sure you get your mammograms and check yourselves. Tell your daughter, daughters-in-law, nieces, or friends to do the same! That’s my PSA! Hi Kathy: What are your thoughts on “non skinny” jeans? I am thinking straight legs, vs skinny ankl, high was it of course.

Ditto! As fashionable as the skinnies are, I just am not comfortable in them, even though I do like a skinny ponte pant or leggings. At the same time I don’t want to look messy or dated in looser styles…

Re: Mammos – SO IMPORTANT! My mother is a breast cancer survivor, And I am lucky that my doctor got me into a breast cancer study, so I get a 2D and 3D every year, along with other monitoring (blood, DNA). It takes no time, ladies, so make sure to make and keep your mammo appointment! Thank you, Kathy, for spreading the word!

I love the white pumps. I bought a pair a couple of years ago, but haven’t worn them much. They just haven’t seemed to catch on in my part of the country (midwest). You have inspired me to wear them NOW, rather than waiting for summer.

Hi, Susan! I am so sorry that I am so late on getting to this. I am a one show pony over here and it’s hard to keep up. Non-skinny jeans have made a comeback and I like them. You just have to be sure that you wear the right shoe. I would wear a flat sandal, wedge, or a heel with them. You are making me want to go get a pair now! xx
