Good Morning! How are you all and how was your weekend? We had a pretty full weekend. Friday night we went to dinner with the grandkids and my daughter in law (son was traveling). We had so much fun with them at our favorite Mexican restaurant, and half of my granddaughter’s four-year-old class was there, even the boy that tries to kiss her every day! It was hilarious watching the two of them flirt! We ate so early because of the kids that we had a movie night after we got home and watched Bohemian Rhapsody. I did not think I would like it, but I thought it was so well done. Today, I am thinking spring thoughts even if the temperatures are still chilly.
I found this beautiful blue herringbone knit blazer (comes in grey too) a few weeks back at Loft. I bought it because I was so tired of wearing dark fall/winter colors. I am ready for spring colors and this is such a pretty shade of blue and it’s still heavy enough to wear during the chilly temperatures in spring (or now). I stay in a constant state of cold so having a blazer that is warm enough is a perk. I threw the blazer over a graphic tee I had and added a new pair of suede boots (sold out) for the look. Graphic tees are so fun to wear under jackets to give a more casual and relaxed look. I love the jeans I’m wearing from Veronica Beard, but they are older and not available in the wash I have on. What style jeans do you all wear the most? I’m thinking most everyone is going to mid-rise. These jeans are a little lower, and I have to say that I am liking mid to high rise right now.
I am heading to the airport for an early flight to Los Angeles with my gal pal, Heather. We are heading out a few days early, but are doing something really fun on Thursday with another one of the Chic at Every Age group girls, Natalie. We are so sad that Samantha can’t make this trip with us! Heather and I will fill the time before Natalie gets there with shopping, trying a few new restaurants, and visiting some friends. I am so glad to get a change of scenery and maybe gather some personal inspiration.
Did you all watch the Academy Awards? What did you think about it? I was actually more entertained than if they had had a host. I thought the winners of the red carpet were Lady Gaga (in a $30 million dollar necklace!), Charlize Theron, Emma Stone, Brie Larson, Regina King, and Gemma Chan. Do you know who was a big surprise for me? Marie Kondo! She looked so beautiful and who knew she was a fashionista! Could you believe the diamonds in that room? Who were your favorites? I hope you all have a great day and thank you so much for reading! xx
