Happy Wednesday! How are you all? I had a meeting yesterday with the girl that I am hiring to help me with the blog and I love her so much already! Honestly, I feel like she has her sh*t together and is more mature than me at 26 years old! Also, I need someone to hold me accountable for the daily stuff that I do so that I don’t lose it. Remember, I have a life coach challenging me for the “big picture” things in my life and one of them was to hire an assistant (now called community management, so I learned yesterday). I am on my way to hopefully make my life a little less stressful. Do you know what isn’t stressful? This stars and plaid outfit! It’s an easy throw on that looks pulled together!
Mix Patterns (Stars and Plaid)
When September rolls around, I start craving plaid! Actually I was shopping for jeans and saw these plaid pants and loved them. They are actually a stretch denim houndstooth from Mother denim. Personally, I wear jeans most of the time and these are a great substitute for the solid ones. The “stars” pattern blouse (which I purchased in January) mixes well to make these stars and plaid combo. I know mixing patterns is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s a great alternative to a solid black or white top. Surely, I will be wearing them with a solid black sweater whenever Mother Nature decides to blow some cool air this way (starting to get a little upset with her)!
Doesn’t plaid remind you of the beginning of school and fall? I am so happy that it is a huge trend right now. These pants are super cute as well as this jacket I showed in this post a few weeks back. I would suggest getting at least one item in plaid to welcome in fall.
I have not met with my trainer in over a month but I am finally going back today. I have missed going but know how I am going to feel tomorrow. You know that feeling of not being able to sit down on the toilet because your thighs hurt so bad? That will be tomorrow! One step forward, right?
I hope you all have a great day! xx
