THANKSGIVING LOOK #2

Happy Friday! Oh my word, how are we back to Friday again? This has been a busy week for me, but honestly, it seems like that is how it’s going lately. I had a birthday dinner on Wednesday night with my blogger friends that was so much fun. The weather has been perfect for sitting outside, and we are taking advantage of that. We have another birthday dinner tonight and a friend coming back in town from Nashville on Sunday. I’m so excited that all of my chicks will be here a week from today for Thanksgiving. Even the one that has been in Europe (since February) is coming home for a bit! I am so excited! I am just praying that we all stay healthy!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, I wanted to show you Thanksgiving look #2.

I’m not sure where or how you spend your holidays, but an easy dress and boots might be your cup of tea for a Thanksgiving day look (Look #1 is here). I love the colors and the ease of this dress. I think it would fit with most Thanksgiving celebrations (unless you get super dressed up). It can go day or night with a pair of boots or a heeled loafer. The color of the dress screams fall! I would also recommend this dress or this one.

What are you all in charge of for Thanksgiving this year? We are hosting eleven, and I am in charge of a broccoli souffle, sweet potato casserole, homemade cranberry sauce, and pecan pies. My oldest daughter in law loves to arrange flowers, so she will have that job. The rest is up to my husband and oldest son, thank goodness!

There is a fairly new place that makes the prettiest and most delicious charcuterie boards if you live in Dallas.

I ordered one from Fount Board & Table last weekend to try while my out of town friends were here, and we all loved it. If you need an appetizer for Thanksgiving or any time, I highly recommend them.

If you live in Dallas, you will understand a little better, maybe (because Dallas decorates in a big way for Christmas), but can you believe my Christmas lights are up in front of my house? They were put up this week (big wreath with lights too), and I am putting up my tree tomorrow. I know it seems way early, but many houses in my neck of the woods have lights and trees up. I told my husband that I wanted it done early because it’s been such a sad year and Christmas lights make me happy. Might as well find the joy, right?

I hope you all have a great weekend! Stay well and safe! xx
