THE CUTEST POOLSIDE PIECES WITH NORDSTROM

Happy Friday, and welcome to the weekend! Do we even care that it is the weekend anymore? I feel like I am living a seven day weekend right now, do you all? Well, it is the beginning of the “short weekend,”  and I don’t know about you, but I have the itch to get in the car or a plane and head to the beach! I know I can’t, but I can dream about it. The weather is iffy right now, but the sunny days we are having are making me a lot happier. I’m ready to pull out the pool and beachwear (even though I am in Dallas) and show off what I will be wearing soon. I am working with Nordstrom today to show you the cutest poolside pieces that you can wear anywhere!

Cover-up dress

I had a beach trip planned with two of my girlfriends about three weeks ago and was so sad not to be able to go. However, I did order some adorable things to take with me that I can wear here when it gets a bit warmer and save for my next beach trip (which will be as soon as I get a “get out of jail free” card!). I ordered this adorable cover-up dress with the tassel ties that can be worn strictly as a dress or a cover-up. This is one of those great pieces that can be worn to the beach or out to dinner. I got it in an XS, and it is marked down since I bought it and is less than $100.

Bathing suit

What I am wearing underneath is my very favorite flattering style bathing suit by Tory Burch (had it last year in blue), but my body was not in tiptop shape (as far as tanning and other things that need work :)), so you will have to use your imagination. This suit is fabulous because it really holds your middle in, and it has UPF 50+ sun protection! It comes with detachable straps too.

Sun hat

I am all about shielding my face and hair when I am in the sun and am always on the hunt for cute and protective sun hats! I love this hat because it has a wide brim and a strap. How many times have you had your hat fly off in the wind or a boat, or if you are cool enough to have a convertible? I don’t like having to hold on a hat, and that’s why I love this one. It’s by one of my favorite designers, Ganni. Who knew they made had hats? I also purchased this one just because, well, leopard!

I know, unless you live somewhere really warm, that you probably aren’t throwing on a cover-up every day, but can’t you wait until you can? Until then, I will still be wearing joggers, or leggings and soft tees and sweatshirts until the weather gets and stays warmer.

I know it’s hard to imagine what the next couple of weeks or months will look like but, it’s nice that we can do some shopping (if we are up to it) and get great deals right now.
