Happy Halloween! I’m so excited to be partnering with Nordstrom today to talk about two trends that I love. When I was in New York a few weeks ago, my favorite thing to do is check out as many stores I can to find out what trend I see the most. Without a doubt, combat boots were EVERYWHERE! Not only were they everywhere, but every designer had a pair or two to offer. From Sam Edelman to Prada and even as lady-like a brand as Jimmy Choo are showing combat boots. I had a fantastic pair of combat boots about ten years ago from Tory Burch that I stupidly got rid of (why do I do that?). I wish I had them now! Anyway, combat boots look super cute with everything from jeans to skirts and dresses. I know this sounds strange, but unless I just have a fit over something while traveling, I like to shop at home. That’s why after my trip, I went to Nordstrom to pick out my combat boots. I knew I would find the exact one I wanted there because Nordstrom has the best shoe department! The boot I am wearing is from Rebecca Taylor. They are very comfortable and simple to get into because there is a zipper on the side so that you don’t have to unbuckle the buckles and, I like the studs. They come in white as well and are under $200.

The other trend that I love right now, (as in this post too) is shine. I have never seen so many shiny things in the stores as I have right now. I have major ADD, and when I look at shine it gets worse! I act like I have the attention span of a three-year-old. Why do most women like shiny things? Hmmm…Every brand seems to be doing some element of shine. What do I wear most often? Jeans. What would make them so fun right now? Shine! I loved this pair of Rag and Bone coated denim in gray. It has just enough shine to wear them as an everyday jean, and they are 30% off right now! Again, almost every designer is doing some sort of metallic jean like these, and if you want just a touch of shine, these are perfect (on sale too!)!

It was very chilly last week when I shot these photos, and I was so glad I was showing a cozy sweater with my jeans. I will be bringing out this sweater again this week because we are getting cooler again. I love cozy soft pieces, and this eyelash sweater is just that. The sweater comes in three different stripes and is $78! I’m so happy that chenille sweaters are back because they are so comfortable and snug! A few other comfy ones are this cute stripe and this solid that comes in about ten colors and selling quickly!

I have been meaning to tell you all about this lip fill pencil from Chantecaille that I am obsessed with. I use a light lip liner then line over it with this pencil. I promise it makes your lips look much fuller. I am also obsessed with this eyeshadow palette; it’s gorgeous! I love that I can get everything I need under one roof at Nordstrom!

Well, I survived my oncologist appointment yesterday. Usually, I am a big girl when I go to my appointments, but for some reason yesterday, it really bummed me out. I don’t know if it was because there were so many people there that were sick but it just breaks my heart. I am so thankful to God that I get to walk out of there healthy! I am supposed to shoot today (but the rain is back) and doing errands then trick or treating with the grands! I hope you all have a great day!
