ATHLETA PANTS AND SWEATER

Good Morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was really overcast and rainy in Nashville, so we didn’t have a lot of outdoor fun, but our nights were fun having dinner with friends. Saturday night we went to one of my favorite places, Adele’s. It may be my favorite restaurant here, because the food is consistently good, and the waitstaff is awesome! Every waiter we’ve had has been so friendly and fun! The kale and cauliflower salads are ridiculous too!!!
By the time most of you read this, I will be in route back to Dallas. I had planned to be there this week, to help my parents start cleaning their house to eventually put it on the market. Good thing this was already planned, because I learned on Friday, that my dad has to have a pacemaker put in. His legs have gotten so swollen and he has had shortness of breath. He was put on lasix this weekend, and I’m sure has pee’d more than he’d like to!!! I am praying this pacemaker will help regulate his heart. Speaking of the heart and lasix…my sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has congestive heart failure and we are having to treat her with the same thing my dad is taking (plus other things). She sort of crashed three weeks back, but was at the vet having an echocardiogram when it happened. Thankfully they were able to help her! Getting older is not for sissy’s!!!
I happened to walk into Athleta to look for a few things for my pilates classes, but instead found this and that I love! You know that I pretty much live in jeans, but these are sooooo comfortable, and so cute, (also in navy and olive green and $89) that I can wear them in place of jeans. I wore them with my new (limited edition) Cherry Blossom, but I also think they will look so cute with or . I love the nubby cotton too ($79)! With a cute , don’t you think you could actually go to a casual dinner in this? Think I’m getting the olive pair too!
Have a great day and thank you so much for reading this blog!!!

Hi Cathy– So sorry about your dad and your dog. We also have a Cavalier King Charles and have been dealing with heart issues. They really are the best dogs! I’ll send positive, healing energy your way. Beth

Cathy, I’m sorry for what you, your dad and puppy dog are going through. And yes, it is challenging, this getting-older journey. I hope you are making sure to take care of yourself through it all. You have a lot on your plate. ~Janis
