THE BEST LAST-MINUTE GIFT IDEAS WITH BLOOMINGDALE’S

Hello, everyone! I hope you all are doing well! I want to send my thoughts and prayers to the people of Kentucky this morning. The weather is so strange, and it still baffles me that it can be so devastating and destructive. My heart goes out to all of the families that lost loved ones. It’s hard to write about fluff after sad things happen!

So last week, I reported that I was doing good after my surgery. I still am; however, I ended up with a massive hematoma on my right side that is pretty painful. I got the okay from my doctor to drive, but she wanted me to lay low for another week and not lift anything over ten pounds. This will be a problem the next few days as we are traveling with our daughter and her (almost) five-month-old to visit my in-laws for a few days. That little girl is a chunk of love and weighs more than ten pounds. I won’t be able to hold her or, for that matter, do much to help out. Having surgery around the holidays is not a great idea!

This is a great time to purchase those last-minute gifts for anyone on your list. I love giving the gift of beauty (because I love it and beauty is hardly ever on sale), and I have found some great gifts for some of my (beauty-lover) friends and family members. One of my favorite items is this Ambient Lighting Powder from Hourglass. This palette is a limited edition with four new shades. These powders capture, diffuse, and soften surrounding light to blur imperfections and refine skin’s appearance. Each powder is hand-made, and no two are exactly alike. I think I will be keeping one of these!

I love Charlotte Tilbury, and this limited edition Pillow Talk Set is so great for the girl on the go! If more color is what your recipient likes, this Iconic Mini Lip Wardrobe is a great way to try out Charlotte Tilbury’s popular colors. I love gifting my daughter eye cream (because most of them are pretty pricey) and she doesn’t want to pay for them. I’ve been giving her La Prairie eye cream every Christmas for a long time. I am switching it up this year because I have tried a new one that I really like. It’s the Sisley-Paris L’integral Anti-Age Eye & Lip Contour Cream. It comes with a mini roller and feels so good on the eye area; you can also use it around your lips.

Sometimes it’s hard to know what to give to a female friend or family member. I know the “ol’ Christmas Candle” seems lame but, I have an obsession with candles, and I think most women like them. My favorite for the holidays and winter is the  Nest Holiday Classic. I buy it in bulk and burn it constantly through February. It makes me happy! The other candle that I am obsessed with is the Cire Trudon, Abd El Kader. You all, every time I burn this and someone comes to my house; they become obsessed too. It’s incredible but pricey, so I don’t burn it unless I have company.

A few more great gifts for anyone on your list is the Slip Pure Silk Pillow Case. I have been sleeping on these for years, and now my husband will only sleep on them too. They really do help reduce friction on your face and head. I haven’t tried this Facial Steamer yet, but I want to get one because I feel like my chin is always congested from wearing a mask.
