EVIL EYE PIECES
Happy Friday, everyone! Wow…what a week this has been! There is so much going on in the world and things that I thought I would never see (like church being canceled!). The grocery stores in Dallas look like we are getting ready for a blizzard. I’ve heard so many things from; we are all going to get the virus to we will be confined to our homes for four weeks. Like you, I’ve never been through this before and not sure what to believe. I’m trying not to buy into the fear, but I also want to be prepared. We have stocked up on food, medication, and yes, toilet paper! If we did have to stay home for a couple of weeks, we could. Are you all preparing, or do you think it’s overhyped?
I was trying to figure out what to show and write about for today and was actually having a tough time. It feels so trivial to write a post on fashion, beauty, or anything fluffy at the moment when there is a crisis going on. I don’t know if it is helpful or not to keep doing what I usually do. What do you all think? If I continue to post what I typically do, would you think it was in bad taste, or would you be glad to have something fluffy to look at? I don’t know what to do right now, so today, I thought it appropriate to show some “Evil Eye” pieces. I’m pulling out my cross and evil eyes and praying for the world and for all of us!
I hope you have a great day and stay well! xx

Thank for this! Can’t hurt to have an evil eye warding off any germs, plus these are so cute. (Ordered the earrings.) We are trying not to stress too much, since stress isn’t good for the immune system either, just doing what we can control to lower our risk — washing hands, staying away from crowds, cooking healthy meals, ordering fun jewelry.

It’s nice to read about something “normal” like fashion or beauty, etc when there is so much craziness going on.

I agree with Joanne. We can only do so much to be prepared and vigilant. I, for one, need something to get my mind off the impending doom a bit.

I enjoy your post and I prefer to read about some normalcy. Keep up your good work! It takes my mind off of stressful things happening in the world, the US and in my own life.❤️

I appreciate the ask! I love hearing how you are fairing in our shared experience here. My daughter is getting married in 50 days and we are praying we don’t have to postpone it or cancel. (After planning for over a year) More rsvps are arriving every day! That may sound trivial – and it is compared to folks critically ill or dying but taking it one day at a time!

I love your posts! You and I are in the same age group and our children are similar in age. Therefore, I’m going through the empty nest phase as well! I work for a global organization and the chaos is being felt by all our associates across the globe. Add that to the home front and I could really use the diversion on your blog. Keep inspiring us in your positive and authentic way. Your purpose in this chaos helps more than you know!
