One-Stop Destination For Beauty at Nordstrom

Happy Wednesday, friends! I am so excited to be partnering with Nordstrom today to discuss all things make-up and skincare because Nordstrom is your one-stop destination for all things beauty, and I love all of it! I think I had mentioned before that I got my love of beauty products from my mom. My dad used to say that she had a blackbelt in shopping! She always has bought and tried so many different products and uses them until they are gone (might take five years but she’s not throwing anything away). I differ in that way. If I don’t see results, or like the texture or smell, or am just meh about it, I toss it! Today, I am going to show you my favorites and some products that I want to try. Let’s talk about beauty!

As a blogger, I am gifted a lot of beauty products, and it’s so fun to try them, but sometimes it gets a little overwhelming. I always seem to go back to my very favorites. Great skin starts with taking care of the inside as well as the outside. I am a big believer in washing my face every night, no matter how tired I am. Taking makeup off or the dirt (pollution) from the day is so important.

I love washing my face with Clé de Peau Beauté, Snynactif Soap.

I know $100 seems like a ton to spend on a soap, but I promise, it lasts forever. It removes impurities to cleanse the skin without making it feel dry. I also love Eve Lom Cleanser with aromatic oils to get my skin super clean and Tata Harper, Regenerating Cleanser, that exfoliates too. I use Clé de Peau Beauté Hydro-Softening Lotion as a toner. Most toners make me feel tight and dry, but this feels so good. I have used this for more years than I can remember!

I enjoy using oils and serums, but I had too many and didn’t really know what I was supposed to do with them except to put them on my face and neck (duh!). Then along came the product that I swear by does everything. Augustinus Bader, The Cream (I use the Rich Cream) has been my “can’t live without” product for over a year now. I just purchased my sixth bottle!

I use it morning and night to moisturize, but it somehow does more than that. It has a HUGE cult following and has won lots of awards. I am so obsessed with it! It’s enough moisture for me in the warmer months to use both morning and night, but in the colder months, I might add Creme de La Mer over it. If I do want to add a serum, I have enjoyed using Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil.

Eye and Neck Creams are two very essential products for me.

Those are the thinnest skin on our bodies and show signs of aging first. My favorite eye cream is Clé de Peau Beauté Eye Cream. It helps with all of the signs of aging. Another eye cream that I have been so impressed with is Arcona’s Eye Dew Plus. This helps to diminish the signs of aging as well. Ladies, if you have super dry skin under your eyes and use this product at night, it will still be there in the morning! This stuff is great! I never go to bed without a good lotion and lip balm (this lip balm has transformed my severely dry lips).

I try to buy my foundation with an added sunscreen but usually end up using this sunscreen before I apply my makeup. Speaking of foundation, this is my all-time favorite! It is pricey, but it lasts a long time and looks so pretty on. The other foundation that I really like is this one. This is my favorite concealer. If I need a heavy-duty one, then it’s this one every time!

I am a blush girl! I have to have some color on my cheeks. And I have been partial to this blush, called Impassioned (looks darker than it is) for years with this (Love Glow), or now this (Sunset Glow) swirled on the apples of my cheeks. This is a great palette for travel!  Bronzer is something that I have to be really careful with. I am a very pale girl and need to use a light color bronzer. This is the one that has been my favorite.

I love eyeshadow palettes and always seem to buy the same colors, but they are such fun. This has been my go-to for a while, but I also switch with this one. I always use a primer like this one before I use the shadows. I have written about this mascara for years, but I genuinely swear by it. It is expensive, but it does have a growth peptide in it, and it really does make my lashes longer. I am afraid to quit using it. I don’t use lash growth serums because this mascara works. You can layer other mascaras over it.

I have to have lipstick on always, but I am unfortunately allergic to a lot of them. Nars lipliners and lipsticks work for me, as well as Chanel and Buxom. My favorite one is Nars in Cream Cup.

Nordstrom has fantastic brands that I honestly did not know they carried and will make shopping them so much easier now. I am a huge fan of Necessaire body products and found out they are available at Nordstrom. I use the body wash (in sandalwood) and lotion every night. When I want to feel extra “fancy,” I use this body hair and shower gel. How often are we all washing our hands now? This is my favorite hand soap. You all, I can’t tell you how much I love Kopari products (coconut-based). I use almost every single one of them. The deodorant is my favorite ever! I was also not aware that they carried the Collagen Protein Powder that I use. I am dying to try this!

There are so many beauty tools at Nordstrom for skin and hair. I have used the Dyson hairdryer for a while now and love it. I splurged on the Airwrap Styler a few months back. It’s so cool, but I still am trying to perfect it. It does help save your hair from being singed, and that’s what I bought it for.

Don’t forget about great scents for the body and home at Nordstrom. My favorite scent is this one. I get stopped regularly when I wear it. I hadn’t worn the Kiehl’s Original Musk in years, and I just picked it up. And I love it too! I got the Nest Tangerine Reed Diffuser for our bathroom, and it smells divine.

I could go on and on about products, but I don’t want to overwhelm you. The products I have linked above and the ones below are honestly products that I have tried and love. I did link some that are ones that I want to try. The pandemic is a great time to experiment with beauty products!
