Good Morning, everyone! I was MIA yesterday because it was another travel day for me and I couldn’t get it together! I had to be at the airport at 3:45 for a 5 am flight! Who knew planes left that early??? So, Sunday night I took an Ambien (from 2015) at 8:30 so that I could get some sleep. It didn’t work as well as I had hoped! Note to self about expired Ambien! I flew to Rochester, New York (then drove to Aurora) for a blogging trip with Mackenzie Childs. I can’t wait to fill you in on what I am doing!

Today, I wanted to show how I am wearing my favorite summer floral skirt ( I paid full price and now it’s on SALE) into fall. I have to admit, I bought this very late in the summer and didn’t get to wear it but once. I like it so much that I am pairing it with this beautiful turquoise sweater and boots for fall. Had you all noticed that skirts had vanished for a while but are back? I am so happy they are!

Prairie Skirts are so fun!

I wanted to show this because florals have been so on trend for the last year (and still are) and why not wear what you have in your closet, into another season. You just have to be creative and think of different ways to wear the things you have. Prairie skirts and dresses are so “in” right now, and this skirt has that vibe to it. I pulled out the turquoise to wear with it, but I would love this sweater too.

I have seen lots of prairie style skirts and dresses in more summery looking colors for fall, that it doesn’t bother me to wear something like my skirt into November. The trick is, to wear a sweater of some sort, or a tee with the skirt and a boot or sneaker to make it look seasonal. I pulled out my brown cowboy boots to wear with mine. You can throw a sweater over a summer dress and accessorize the same way! The necklace I am wearing is from a sweet friend of mine who has a brand called Harper Hallam. She has the most gorgeous unique pieces, and I completely fell in love with the necklace. Some of the pieces are “one of a kind,” so if you love this one, contact her through her website.

It’s so fun shooting fall looks in Dallas when it’s still in the 90’s (just kidding)! I’m hoping to get a reprieve from the heat while here in Aurora. I am staying at the Rowland House, and let me tell you that it is heaven on earth! I’m in the most beautiful room with a view of the lake. I’ve never stayed in an Inn in upstate New York, so I’m really excited about being here. I am with seven of the cutest and youngest bloggers who I had never met, and we are already fast friends! Watch my Instastories to see what’s up! I hope you have a great day today! xx,
