LALA LAND WITH CHICO’S AND A TALK SHOW

Good Morning Everyone! Today I get to share with you a fun video that I was asked to be part of with Chico’s and a new radio show beginning on May 30. If you remember back in February, I shared with you a post HERE about the Fierce 50 and the thought behind why it was started. Chico’s loved the idea behind the posts, and asked a few of us to do a photo shoot. They loved it so much that they wanted us to come up with a video to share some cool news (which I will fill you in on in a bit). Did you all see La La Land? It is one of my favorite movies and with the help of Elena, a videographer who flew all the way in from Canada, we shot our mini version of that movie.

Catherine Grace (Catherine Grace O), Shauna Robertson (Chic Over 50), and I met up in Catherine’s town of Redondo Beach, California. The three of us have become such great friends since the beginning of the year, and I could not wait to get together with them!  Catherine had an idea to start a radio talk show, and we were to come up with a video to launch it. What could be better than being in California and choosing LaLa Land for the theme? We shot most of the video in beautiful Palos Verdes with a choreographed dance number (haha…a few grapevine steps and twirls), that were very tricky with heels and wedges on an incline, looking over the Pacific Ocean, but we did it with no busted fanny’s!

The three of us were completely decked in Chico’s clothes that we chose to compliment each other. Catherine is wearing and adorable sequin jacket and tie front shirt with girlfriend jeans. Shauna has on the most beautiful white lace top and girlfriend jeans, and I love the blue flowy top and girlfriend jeans that I am wearing (our looks are sold out, but I picked my favorite options below). Chico’s designs have incorporated the latest trends, like bomber jackets, off the shoulder styles, and embellished denim and yet is still a brand that stays true to its classic roots. Chico’s clothes look good on any age!

Now for the news. As I mentioned above, Catherine really is starting a radio talk show with another Fierce 50 member, Kathy Kaehler. If you remember, I did a post on Kathy HERE. She was the Fitness Correspondent on the Today Show for fourteen years. Kathy is a rockstar and has trained many celebrities. She empowers women to lead a fit and healthy lifestyle with an LA Radio Show called, “Fit and Sexy for Life”. She has been at this for three years and has almost one million downloads. We all met up when we did the first Chico’s photo shoot and Kathy was someone that I really clicked with. Kathy and Catherine have now started a radio show, called “Fiercely Empowering Women of All Ages Through the Lens of Midlife”. I will be joining in from time to time, as well as other women of The Fierce 50. This show will start on May 30th and will be full of wisdom and laughter.
